Wonderful Thai restaurant in the heart of Oakland which I stumbled upon. The restaurant has beautiful decor and the service was fantastic. I was speaking to the manager and he said that the place is really busy during lunch time because if the unlimited buffet, which I have not tried.I managed to find street parking within 1 block but there is paid parking available all around the block. The menu is extensive it had items for both non-vegetarians and vegetarians alike and the food was delicious. I felt like I was transported back to Thailand all the ingredients were fresh and the curry that I had was freshly made unlike other restaurants which we use ready-made pastes for their currys. I am definitely going back there again to try the lunch buffet.

I ate from the buffet. It was bland. From what my colleague, who suggested we eat here, said this was a very good restaurant, but I was not overly impressed with the buffet. On the other hand, I may be judging them too soon, because they were packed at lunch.

Got delivery from here a few weeks ago. Chicken satay is tender and delicious. Egg rolls are hot and crispy. Loved the pad Thai and the drunken noodles. Definitely will get takeout again.

One of my longtime favorite restaurants in the bay! A definite must go! The food is flavorful and authentic! Great lunchtime buffet! We always get the FBI for dessert (Fried Banana Ice cream)

The lunch buffet was wonderful. Can't get enough of that yellow curry... What really struck me was how sanitized the restrooms are. Chlorine bleach kills all...

There are so many choices on this menu that it is hard to choose! Everything Asian is here! We were a party of 8 and everyone had something different. From curry to fried rice, chicken, beef, pork and shrimp dishes and even our vegetarian friend had several choices. The place was blessedly quiet so we could talk and visit. People who had the curry loved it. Everyone else was very satisfied with their choices. Prices are good as well.

I've been coming to this place for years. The food here is phenomenal. They are extremely vegetarian friendly. Since they make everything fresh, including the sauce, they can make almost all dishes vegetarian. Their pad see ew is the best I've ever tasted. The garlic green beans has a ton of garlic in it. Rita doesn't skimp on any ingredients.

The high reviews are for the Thai food, not the pho. I had the dac biet and the wanton pho- both were mediocre. But the Thai food smelled delicious.

Super delicious food with mouth watering taste! ! Ordered vegetarian Pad-Kee-Mow and Red Curry and they made it really delicious!

Fried rice is great, but I like all the dishes I've had and keep going back. Vegetarian friendly. All the flavours are nice and fresh and there is a nice difference in flavours between the dishes you don't get with other restaurants. They also take the time to cook delicious food, with a lot less oil than other restaurants, so the texture and essence of the vegetables come through the nice spices they use - aromatic and tasty. Friendly unassuming service from the staff and owners.

Being a place recommended by the staff at the hotel where we stayed. Was easy to find and we arrived just as they were opening. Despite this, they were very friendly and more than welcoming. The food was some of the best Thai we have had. Very flavorful and reasonably priced. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would eat here again if I am in the Oakland area.

They offer a nice variety of delicious food. I loved eating here. The employees are always welcoming, pricing is affordable and the place is always clean.

The food here is great, and a good value. The restaurant has a kind of funky lived in feel that's real chill, but I wouldn't describe as elegant. A great little hole in the wall Thai spot. They seem to do most of their business with the lunch buffet; dinner is always mellow. Try the grilled catfish with green chile sauce.

Saw this being mentioned on Check Please Bay Area. We went there for dinner. Was disappointed with the food. We had papaya salad which was very ordinary. The appetizer in a leaf was refreshing. Tom kha was okay, bbq platter nothing to write home about. The crab fried was the best of all the dishes we tried. Decor was nice and service was friendly. Will not be going there again.

Food quality was great . every plate is cooked as you want. i tend to not eat shrimp. but it was made so well i finished the shrimp before my rice was over. great service and quality.

This is by far me of my favorite restaurants! The food is as close to authentic as you can get, short of traveling to Thailand. The staff is friendly and make a point to remember customers. I recommend this place to all my friends. The Tom Ka is out of this world.

Whenever I get a chance to be in Oakland I always go here. $11.95 all you can eat buffet is a good deal. You get a pad thai, yellow chicken curry, fried rice, Tom Yum, salad and more. If you don't want they buffet they do offer other things on the menu. The service isn't that bad. For the price it's worth it

This place is sooo good! Every time I've come here the food has been on point and the owner is always so gracious. I've had different noodle dishes, the chicken, and the fresh rolls and everything is always fresh and delicious - the veggies always have that good bit of firmness left with them when mixed in with the noodles and the meat is good quality. Definitely always happy coming here.

Had a fantastic experience here with my daughter. The food came fast and the service is just great. Prices are reasonable.

Love their Thai noodle soup. Owners treat you like you are a guest in their house. Vi and Rita are the loveliest people.

The seafood pumpkin curry was amazing. We got that and some fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, easily enough for two. The service could be a bit quicker though, and I wish they had coconut rice!

Good food and good service. We visited with a baby--fortunately it wasn't busy--and the staff were welcoming and attentive, and had a lot of fun with the baby!

Delicious food for a good price. The peanut sauce is so good, you could eat it with a spoon. Everyone who works there is so nice.

We have very picky kids but we managed to have no complaints, they do not like to try new things. However the liked the orange chicken, chicken fried rice and beef and broccoli flat noodles. My husband and I love Curry and the green Curry was excellent and spicy. I would definitely eat here again. Very Clean and Great Service.

We used to live next to this wonderful restaurant when we lived in California. Even when we come back down for a visit we come here to eat. Most definitely one of the best Thai places around and even better they remember us every time we come back!

Service was lacking. Sat around waiting to have our order taken, then sat around waiting for our food to arrive. 45 minutes after sitting down, our food finally came. The waitress had exceptionally pungent body odor that really grossed me out (how is this acceptable?), the smell being so strong it overpowered the scent of the food she carried. When my girlfriend used the bathroom, she witnessed the cook come out of the bathroom wearing her apron, which is completely disgusting and unsanitary. Food was ok, but was overshadowed by the poor service and gross practices. Probably won't be coming here ever again.

This spot knows how to satisfy their clients. Regularly with a very welcoming demeanor. The food is fairly priced, always tasty and neat.

Nice people, but TERRIBLE Panang curry. The curry was basically all oil and tasteless. I was super upset. I took a few bites, and couldn't even continue eating. It was that bad. Probably the worst thai curry I've had to date. Waste of $16.

Highly recommended!! They have the best Tom Ga Guy soup in the East Bay. Good service, although during lunch the wait gets a little longer if you don't get their delicious buffet. . But it's worth the wait.

Best Thai food I've had in the Bay Area!

Hands down to best Thai place I have ever been. This was our first visit here and we were absolutely blown away by the food plus we eat so much but our check was only 50 something. We have been to other amazing Thai place but nothing can beat this place with price and taste. Will visit again.

The service is regularly speedy, awesome vibes, very welcoming staff. I will visit here again when I get nearby.

The best Thai food in Oakland

This is one of the old school, family owned and family run restaurant with a great home cooked meal. The environment inside is also more homie than restaurantue. The pirtion is decent size and prices are not bad compare to being located in the Oakland. I asked for spicy dish which was not supposed to be spicy, but it being made by someone who knows how to cook, they made it just as spicy as I like as compare to few other places I've been where they just throw in some red chilli and hope it turns spicy. The wait staff was great as well. Took away empty plates when they passed by and saw that the table was getting full. Will definitely visit here again to try more dishes.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the East Bay! Friendly service, delicious food, tons of options (great for gluten free, vegan, etc), and reliable deliveries!

It filled up on a weekend night by about 7, but it wasn’t so full you wouldn’t get a table. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. My friend wanted things extra spicy and various side sauces, and the staff made sure she knew what she was doing, then obliged. The papaya salad had a very fishy aftertaste, which some people love, but it’s good to know ahead of time—it doesn’t say it’s made with fish sauce, but it is made with dried shrimp. The red curry was good, it’s not a huge portion, a bit smaller than I’m used to from takeout places, but it was plenty; there could have been more bamboo shoots. The seafood soup had a good portion of seafood and my friend enjoyed it. The fried banana with coconut ice cream was also good, it’s 6 chunks of banana and a nice-sized scoop of creamy coconut ice cream. There’s an okay amount of street parking around because it’s largely a business area which clears out in the evening, but it took me a few minutes and a couple of circles.
